Revised Planning Submitted for School Field June 2025

The Walden Local reported on 25 June that Chase New Homes have submitted revised plans for the school field. The main changes are 75 instead of 91 dwellings, 191 trees instead of 145 and ancillary parking spaces increased from 30 to 182. They still include a multiuse playing field and a clubhouse. One of the main arguments against their development was that playing fields cannot be built on unless proved surplus or replaced by an equivalent in a suitable location. It is argued that since they have not been used since 2017 this may not be relevant.
